Ingredients for about 12 patties
- 2 cups cooked chickpeas
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 slices of bread
- 1/2 sweet red pepper
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 3 tablespoons chopped mint
- salt and pepper
- 1/3 teaspoon curry
- 1/3 teaspoon cumin
- 1 chopped chilli or 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- zest of 1 large lemon or lime
- 4-5 tablespoons flour
Dip
- 1/2 large cucumber grated
- 2 cloves of garlic chopped
- 3 tablespoon sof tahini
- juice and zest of 1 lemon
- salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon agave syrup or other liquid sweetener
- 10 mint leaves chopped
Preparation
- place chickpeas in a food processor and process until almost smooth, put the chickpeas in a basin.
- Continue with processing the onion, garlic, bread, pepper, parlsey and mint, transfer in the basin.
- Add the remaining ingrediends and knead well.
- Allow the mixture to cool for an hour.
- Make patties and deep fry them until they become golden brown, leave them for a while on kitchen paper to drain.
Dip
- Mix all ingredients well and leave in the fridge to cool .
