Ingredients for about 12 patties

  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1/2 sweet red pepper
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 3 tablespoons chopped mint
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/3 teaspoon curry
  • 1/3 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 chopped chilli  or 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • zest of 1 large lemon or lime
  • 4-5 tablespoons flour

Dip

  • 1/2 large cucumber grated
  • 2 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 3 tablespoon sof tahini
  • juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup or other liquid sweetener
  • 10 mint leaves chopped

Preparation

  1. place chickpeas in a food processor and process until almost smooth, put the chickpeas in a basin.
  2. Continue with processing the onion, garlic, bread, pepper, parlsey and mint, transfer in the basin.
  3. Add the remaining ingrediends and knead well.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool for an hour.
  5. Make patties and deep fry them until they become golden brown, leave them for a while on kitchen paper to drain.

Dip

  1. Mix all ingredients well and leave in the fridge to cool .
